Not very impressive from the outside, this would count as "hole in the wall" of some sorts.
You will not be disappointed with their food if you know what Mexican food really tastes like. My husband loves this place.
Their chilaquiles is good. Cannot go wrong with their chuletas. If they have it...you have to get the caldo de res. If you order from Ubereats, and they have caldo de res, get it! -

Tried out the new site for La Casita del Sabor II up on Park Street closer to Prospect Avenue. Nice new spacious digs with the same quality of food. Had the $10 Lunch Special and chose the Grilled Pork Chop over the Chicken or Steak. This came with rice and super beans, small salad and my choice of Maduros over Tostones or French Fries. Great taste and plenty of food. Ate at the bar and there were quite a few tables of customers. Have to go back for the Pupusas!

Our favorite place to eat just opened a second shop! Great authentic menu where everyone will find something they'll like. We love the chilaquiles, pupusas, & jugo maracuya. Perfect at any time of day breakfast lunch or dinner. Plates are huuuuge so you'll probably have enough for another meal. Please support this place if you like going to local hidden gems.

They recently changed owners and I was excited to try their new amped menu. The inside is very modest, small park street restaurant. The name of the restaurant translates to English "the little house of flavor". Sure enough their food is flavorful and they are generous with the portion so, why the 3 stars? Well their prices are a little in the overpriced side and although I understand food is expensive nowadays but to charge almost 5 dollars for a passion fruit juice is a bit ridiculous.
Food was well seasoned and delicious. I tried the seafood soup that has a mixture of seafood including lobster, shrimp, fish, mussels, clams and more. They were not stingy with the seafood but the soup was $15. Although I probably will try them again when I'm in the mood to just throw my money in the air like I don't care. I really don't see their doors staying open long. The atmosphere inside does not give you sophisticated, 5 stars vibes. Although I must say their white rice that accompanied the soup has to be in the top of the best white hispanic style rice I have had. -

I LOVE this place. Low key spot for eat in or amazing for take out too. My faves are huevos rancheros (at any hour), queso or frijoles pupusas, and the empanadas. I haven't been disappointed with anything I've ever ordered although I do recommend ordering the camarones al ajillo in house. I got it as take out once and I think it kept cooking in the container.
